Maryam

Maryam is a fourteen year-old girl from Tehran, Iran. At the age of seven Maryam was severely burned in the course of a motor vehicle accident as her father’s vehicle caught on fire. Since the accident her father has sold his house to pay for Maryam’s medical expenses however after losing his job he is unable to keep up with the bills. Last year we took Maryam to Hazrat-E-Fatemeh Hospital to be placed under the care of Dr. Fatemi, one of the top skin repair specialists. Dr. Fatemi is scheduled to perform the first operation to repair Maryam’s right hand in the near future.
